Conservation Projects

Conservation, as opposed to restoration, takes into account the long term well-being of the painting as well as the future treatment of the object.

Therefore all treatments use materials chosen for their longevity and, more importantly, their reversibility. Full documentation is taken, including photography, and this is stored digitally on our own database for future reference.

Treatments range from surface cleaning to repair of major structural damage caused by water, fire or vandalism.

Clients include most major art institutions in New Zealand.

Our aim has always been to provide a level of service and professionalism of the highest international standard.
